German Restaurant With My Babe

Scott took me out for a belated Valentine's dinner to a little German restaurant in Weber City, VA just outside Kingsport. It's family owned and operated by an elderly German couple now in their 80's. Scott called ahead for a reservations, knowing I would love it and the food was more than delicious! Happy late Valentines Day to my babe♥

Back Home On The Farm

Scott was out feeding the cows the first day home. I must say, it was so nice having my babe home. It didn't snow quite enough to ride that snowmobile, but it's ready for the next large snow.

New York Road Trip

Scott, Charles and Randy all made it home safely from their New York trip, visiting Grandma and Grandpa Little.  Scott and Charles left last Sunday and Randy drove out mid week, driving over 16 hours straight from Cookeville.  They spent  their time visiting with family and friends and in Grandpa's shop. Charles and Grandma went through old pictures and Charles sent me the picture below, taken in the early 80's when Scott and I were dating. My first thought...look how thin we were!  Randy took the only picture of the trip as he was driving up their driveway. Thank you Randy. Heading home, they drove through a snow storm in VA and TN, coming home to 4" of snow. Good thing Scott brought home a snowmobile!  I had a nice dinner waiting for them...what else but homemade chicken noodle soup and sourdough bread.

Men's Conference

East Rogersville Baptist Church Men's Retreat 2016

Nineteen men from our church, including Scott, spent the weekend in Atlanta Georgia at the Johnny Hunt Men's Conference. This year's theme was Take Aim. There were over 7,000 men in attendance for the two days of worship and teaching. Scott really enjoyed listening to Pastor Johnny Hunt and attending the breakout sessions, plus the great fellowship time with  the guys. He said had a wonderful time and looks forward to going again. He took several pictures for my blog.  My babe is in the picture below...the tall, handsome guy on the left!

National Wear Red Day

Today is National Wear Red Day...Go Red for Women, recognizing women and heart disease. Actually, I don't know why this day only focuses on women as heart disease affects men too. Everyone at Central Office wore red today and it was kind of fun gathering together and having our picture taken to celebrate the day.
