Island Pond,Vermont

Scott arrived safely home last night from his snowmobile trip to Island Pond, Vermont. He had a wonderful time snowmobiling with family and friends...and got his fill of snow and speed. They all look forward to this trip every year. Our friend Charles Johnson must love snowmobiling as this is his second trip up north with Scott. They spent a couple days in NY with Scott's parents, visiting with family and spending time in Grandpa's shop. Then they all headed up to Island Pond, snowmobiling Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Usually it's all guys, but this year our niece, Michelyn went. What a trooper she is! She has lots of snowmobiling experience and Scott said she kept right up with them.

Here is the group (Scott is taking the picture). Left to Right: Larry Jr., Larry, Austin, Brian, Charles, Uncle Perry and Michelyn.

Here is where they stayed. Scott said the house had three bedrooms, one bath and a kitchen and living room. Hanging out in the kitchen is Brian, Charles, Perry and Michelyn

Air Soft War

Today was a beautiful day with blue sky and 50 degrees. After all the snow and cold temps in Tennessee, it felt like summer...or a hint of spring anyway. I went walking with Duke in the warm sunshine.☼ Ethan had some friends over for a game of air soft war...guns that shoot little plastic pellets. They hurt if you get hit though!

Beth Moore Bible Study: Daniel

I spent part of my snow day today digging into the Word. On Monday nights our church hosts the Beth Moore bible study Daniel. There are about 40 to 50 women from surrounding churches that gather together weekly for this bible study. Hard to believe this is my 6th Beth Moore Bible study. I can't say enough of how inspiring Beth Moore is. She brings God's word to life...real life. God is doing a mighty work through her ministry. Check out her web site at I look forward to Mondays all week long and being among such Godly women, sharing our life's experiences, drawing strength from each other.

The first half of Daniel is all about living lives of integrity and not being caught up in our Babylonian culture today. Something I have to continually guard myself against...I am in the world , but not of the world. We are in Chapter three right now. We just finished Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego coming through the fiery furnace. God delivered them! Beth Moore brought out three scenarios when people of God face trials in their lives. I hope you draw strength from them as I did.
  • We can be delivered from the fire and our faith is built.
  • We can be delivered through the fire and our faith is refined (1Peter 1:6-7 , John 11:4, phil 1:12, James 1:12)
  • We can be delivered by the fire into His arms and our faith is perfected (Heb 12:2)

Our God is able to deliver us, everytime!

Pamper Me Pretty

The ladies in our church, East Rogersville Baptist, were pampered today at Pamper Me Pretty. This was our second Pamper Me Pretty fundraiser event for our church. We're in the process of raising funds for a Family Life Center addition and this fundraiser was just for the women. We could choose two areas to go to...hairstylists (the little girls loved this!), make up artists who gave us a make-over, or we could choose a manicure or pedicure. I chose the manicure and pedicure. It was fun just being around other women and visiting. I'd like to thank all the ladies who volunteered their time to organize this event and pamper us. They made us feel so special.

Mr. Snowman

Yesterday Scott helped Ethan and friend Daniel build a snowman in front of our house.... no ordinary snowman as the Littles make everything big. They made the bottom part with no problem. When they rolled the second snowball it was way too heavy for them to lift. They had to shave off quite a bit and with the three of them working together, they were able to lift it. When all was said and done it was 8 feet tall. My job was to decorate it. I had to get a chair to put on the scarf, hat and eyes. I kept it simple. Bet Mr. Snowman will be the last thing to melt on Clouds Creek, along with our igloo. By the way, no's a snow day!
